So I am now a stay a home wife and student

  • November 21, 2011 at 12:05 pm

So many things have changed this year.. Starting College again was a major change.  Whew!!  Who knew it would be so hard to get back in the swing of things..  I also quit my job.  That is a major change as well.  I have had a job more than half of my time on this planet..  It is nice to be at home though, I get to clean and make a good supper for hubby every night.  I am also trying to organize.  This house has gotten to be such a mess.  I want to dig myself out of it now.

Hopefully I will be spending more time here as well posting great coupon deals.. That is something else I have to get all organized, I have gotten out of the coupon habit, but with only one income now that just isnt an option anymore..  Saving money will be my job so that my hubby doesnt have to sacrifice because I am now at home!

Christmas!! Jesus is the Reason for the Season

  • December 26, 2010 at 11:47 am

Well once again Christmas has come and gone again and now we are looking forward to the New Year!  We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with family..   Playing Dominoes with Granny while Hubby and Grandpa informed us of how we were playing wrong..  Oh well as long as we were both cheating is was ok..  LOL   Watched the kids open presents, they loved them.. The little ones are growing up so fast and the older ones are almost all grown up..  Sad to see it all go so fast.

I have so many goals for the New year!  It is a new time to rejoice and thank Jesus for our blessings..  Jesus has been with us through so much and  I am so Thankful!!  Now to look forward and put the past behind us!

I’ve been dreading 30, but I have to say Not Anymore!

  • November 10, 2010 at 2:11 pm

While I know that turning 30 doesnt make me old at all. I cant help but feel I am turning this corner into major adulthood. I have a home, a husband and pets that need taken care of, bills that must be paid and lists of other things that I never seem to get done because I find something else I need to do. I have also realized since coming to WUC and realizing our Debt to income was out of control that I dont need everything to be happy.

We are paying off debt and I am couponing like crazy so that some day I can quit my job and stay at home and take care of all these things that “need” done and I dont feel like doing after working all day!!

I kinda like this adult feeling, I know that I am a productive member of society and I am important to someone. So while I am still wearing last years clothes and cringe when I have to actually spend money. One day it is all going to work out and I can say, I did it!!!

I have been a wife for 7 years and had a home of our own for 4 but turning 30 just makes this all seem real to me. My excitement when I couldnt sleep at 3:45 this morning (is that sign of age was I got to get up and go through the grocery ads and find really great deals. It made my day to see I could get cream cheese for .29 cents and a 4lb bag of sugar for .49 cents..

So while my life may seem boring to some I am content, happy and loved.  who could ask for more?  Sure isnt me!

What a beautiful day!

We have had a lot of rain, but the days have been so nice! We have the windows and doors open and it feels good to air out the house.
My house has been a mess for way to long, I am slowly but surely going to get it all deep cleaned.

I let couponing go to the wayside, but I am get reorganized. It saves so much money and I realized with no coupons just how much we spend!

Days with Family and Friends!

  • July 18, 2010 at 7:50 am

There is nothing better than spending the day with your family, unless it is spending it with your best friend as well..  Yesterday was awesome!  I havent laughed so hard in a long time.  It makes me feel good to catch up and talk and laugh, there is nothing better than that..  Something about old friends let you know that even though you dont see each other often the fact that you can pick right back up where you left off is a wonderful happy feeling..    I do miss home sometimes and wish I lived closer to everyone, hard to believe I wanted to move away so much!

Sometimes you just need a lazy day!

Today was our day!!!  We have watched Xfiles all day long, I fixed some lunch and that is about it!!  It has been a wonderful day spent together doing nothing!!  I love my husband and enjoy the time that we spend together.  We dont get many days like this so I try to enjoy them to the fullest when we can.  He is a great man and I am lucky to have him!

The Garden 2!

  • June 17, 2010 at 8:21 pm

I have onions coming up!  Not a lot of them yet, some have taller tops than others but you can see more poking through the ground!!!  Im very excited, I still have everything I planted no deaths yet.  LOL   Two of our big tomatoes dont look so great, but I am babying them, hopefully they will pull through!!!!

Update: 07/11/10– We have onions coming up and our tomatoes are going crazy, so far we only have two actually little green tomatoes, but we have tons of blooms so I can imagine what we are going to end up with.  The peppers looks good to, no blooms on them yet and we have one squash flourishing..  I cant wait to get this stuff out of the garden and canned, frozen and eaten!!!

The Garden

  • June 12, 2010 at 8:05 pm

So far I havent killed anything.  We have a couple blooms on the tomato plants and one of the squash has a bloom.  We were hoping they would get bigger before they bloomed.  Maybe it is just a sign they will produce lots of fruit..  The poor apple tree looks like it is going to fall over, we have it tied up but it is so full of fruit Im not sure what we are going to do..  I watch it everyday and try to check it.  The fruit is getting bigger so maybe we will have some decent apples..  At the price of them at the store I hope ours are edible.  $4 something for a small bag is ridiculous!!
